Valentine’s Smoothie


I’ve been taking a blogging break as I work on my cookbook, but I can’t help but think of everyone who celebrates Valentine’s day when I made this smoothie. It’s just so pretty and healthy for your heart. What better way to say I love you, than nourishing your special one’s heart.

For the Ingredients:

  •   ½ cup peeled, chopped beet
  •       1 small carrot, scrubbed
  •       1 cup chopped  fresh or frozen pineapple
  •       1 cup almond milk
  •       2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  •       1 cup ice 

Put the pineapple, beet, carrot, almond milk, hemp seeds, and ice into a Vita-mix blender in that order for ease of blending. Blend on low for a moment and then on high speed for 1 minute or until smooth. SERVES 2
